Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Project Manager

Description:

Arbela is looking to hire a Microsoft Dynamics D365 FO Project Manager to manage Microsoft Dynamics D365 FO projects. In this role, you will interact with the customer daily and lead the implementation team of consultants to complete allocated tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the pre-sales process for Dynamics D365 FO customer engagements
  • Lead the Arbela delivery team, providing end-to-end project management
  • Escalate issues and risks, as needed, to the Arbela project sponsor and to the customer project manager
  • Plan activities, scope, goals, and deliverables that support our customer’s business goals and solution delivery
  • Leverage and ensure the delivery team is following Arbela’s Implementation Methodology and tools
  • Create, execute and maintain the project plan for each project under your supervision
  • Plan project resources against the project plan to execute activities, and coordinate with the Project Management Office (PMO) and fellow project managers, to ensure these resources are available
  • Track progress against deliverables; track project cost against the project budget; adjust the project plan as required, and provide regular status reporting to project leadership
  • Proactively manage dependencies, risks and critical path
  • Directly interact with customers as their main point of contact
  • Resolve conflicts and issues with the goal of improving and maintaining positive relationships; mitigate issues and/or escalate appropriately to management
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the project team
  • Manage project quality to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide ongoing input to the delivery practice through suggestions and implementations of practice improvements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience delivering ERP/CRM/SCM solutions within the Microsoft platform, including Dynamics 365 
  • Experience managing at least one full lifecycle implementation of information systems
  • Experience working in a professional services organization, preferably one of “Big Four”
  • Demonstrated experience presenting and interfacing with C-level executives
  • Excellent organization, communication, presentation, training, customer relationship and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work within an operating framework
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly effective in a virtual team organization
  • Familiar with agile implementation methodology
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing and nebulous environment with limited direction
  • Good time management, well-organized, consistently meets commitments and creates high-level deliverables
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly regarding anticipating and solving problems or issues before they occur or become critical
  • Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without damage to the relationship
  • Ability to identify high-potential employees and stimulate their growth
  • Demonstrated expertise mentoring technology personnel

Additional Preferred Skills & Considerations:

  • Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management; degrees in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field also acceptable
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience working with a multicultural and/or multilingual team across several time zones
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics functionality and infrastructure
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Experience in project estimation and phase breakdown of work programs
  • Experience “turning around” projects that initially had significant delivery or technical issues
  • Demonstrated pre-sales ability
  • Experience working or participating in Organizational Change Management process or projects

Travel:

Travel is an integral part of this position; candidates must be willing and able to travel. Travel will be limited to 75% or less – depending on the geography

In order to function effectively, this person must have a high level of independence, show initiative, and be highly motivated. This must be done in a manner which is consistent with the team management structure.
